Five & Six Weeks Old
Hello friends!
I am not sure how it happened, but apparently I forgot to post last week! Above are the puppies’ week five photos, and below are their week six photos. I cannot believe that we only have two more weeks to pour into them. It will definitely be a bittersweet day.
Week five and six has brought so many new things for the puppies. We continued to introduce the pups to more solid food. At the moment, they are on wet kibble, but we are slowly adding less water. They are all doing very well with the potty now too. If I am being honest, week four was a dozy, but now we hardly have accidents if they stay on their normal routine. Two weeks ago the puppies had their first nail clipping, and just a few days ago they had their first bath. We have been working on patience and sitting to wait our turn. Some are much better than others, but they are all learning and growing with each day. I am proud of each one of them.
This week we will continue to working on manners. The puppies will have their first car ride to the vet, and we will begin working on solo crate training. We have been introducing the crate to the whole group and they actually love sleeping in it together. This week we will start putting each puppy in the crate by themselves for just a couple minutes at a time, but still place the crate where they can see their siblings.
This past week was puppy pick week! It was so fun to meet our families! I cannot wait for you to take your babies home and love on them. We loved hearing all the new names for the pups and have been doing our best at using their forever names.
What a ride the past six weeks have been! We have been loving it!
Rudy and Valor are still looking for their forever homes, so if you are interested, please reach out!
Until next week!
